Haringey Council Performance

Written by: Daniel McMorrow (dmcmorrow@mage-net.net)

Background

Haringey Council has a major aversion to accountability.
The LGO are extremely slow, bureaucratic and appear spineless.
The following case studies, show particularly dismissive and unhelpful communications received from Haringey Council: https://www.mage-net.net/article/lbh-14568923 and the subsequent follow-up https://www.mage-net.net/article/lbh-14984624 These demonstrate an institutional disregard for accountability, especially when confronted by the ombudsman.

Response

Thank you for getting in touch with us. This is confirmation that we have received your Stage 2 escalation. We’re currently experiencing a high number of cases, so it may take up to eight weeks before your complaint is allocated to a case officer. In the meantime, we’ve let the relevant service area know so they can start looking into things.

Over a period of three months, the estimated wait time for these escalated reviews increased notably, prompting further frustration from the complainant.
